Sexy Scottish Highlanders your cup of tea? Love hot paranormal romance? Well, here's something for you: visit Book Obsessed to read an interview with Vonda Sinclair and enter to WIN an e-copy of her book, My Fierce Highlander. The contest runs from today, Oct. 27th to November 10th.
Gwyneth Carswell, an English lady banished by her father to the harsh Scottish Highlands, wants nothing more than to take her young son away from the violence of two fighting clans--her own distant kin, the MacIrwins, and their enemies, the MacGraths. She risks everything to rescue the fierce MacGrath warrior from the battlefield where he’s left for dead by her clan. She only knows she is inexplicably drawn to him and he wants peace as she does. When her clan learns of her betrayal, they seek vengeance. Dare she trust the enemy more than her own family?
Laird Alasdair MacGrath is driven to end two-hundred years of feuding with the MacIrwins. But by taking in and protecting Lady Gwyneth and her son, he provokes more attacks from his mortal enemy. As the danger and conflict surrounding them escalate, Alasdair and Gwyneth discover an explosive passion neither of them expected. With the arrival of a powerful man from her past, a horrible decision confronts her--give up her son or the man she loves. |

Looking for a hot paranormal read? |
Check out Tamara Hunter's, Demon Ryder.
This is Book 1 in her Galactic Series. Read the blurb below.
Retrieving an unauthorized alien from Demopolis, the demon city which lies beneath the streets of downtown Chicago, shouldn’t be a problem for Agent Camille Stevenson - not when she’s a former police officer and a telepath. But as soon as she sets foot underground, she discovers her first solo assignment will not be an easy one. Throw her ill-timed attraction to a secretive, sexy stranger in the mix and she’ll be lucky to escape with her life – let alone her heart.
Head of the peacekeeping force in Demopolis, Ryder Endemar has enough problems policing demons while making sure U.S. citizens remain unaware of the other world beneath their feet. A headstrong agent who believes she can handle herself in any situation is the last thing he needs – especially when she’s the boss’ s daughter and hot as Hell. |

L. A. Banks |
Ms. Banks (aka Leslie Esdaile) will be sorely missed. As you know, I was a huge fan. Re-reading her stories was nothing new for me. And in fact, I would re-read the previous books in the Vampire Huntress series before a new book was released!
Her Vampire Huntress and Crimson Moon series are well known. Leslie had a gift for world-building and her stories drew a reader in to a world filled with action, suspense and most importantly love.
I first read her books in the 90s when she was wrote contemporary romance. When she branched into paranormal romance, I followed her. I was like a kid in a candy store awaiting the release of the next book in the Vampire Huntress series.
Leslie impacted a lot of people who in return, loved her dearly.

Versatile Blogger Award |
My friend and fellow writer, Randy Jeanne, has inflicted me, I mean, awarded me, with the Versatile Blogger Award. I must admit to having received such an award before, but I was so bogged down that too much time had passed before I responded.
In an effort to be more timely, here are my responses:
1. Thank and link to the person who nominated you. Thanks, RANDY!! Check out Randy's latest offerings at Amazon, Stealing Amy and Lights! Cameras! Love!
2. Share 7 random facts about yourself.
a) I can move the veins of my left hand when I make a fist. I've always been able to do this and have no idea how I figured out I could make them move.
b) I love buying shoes, but I hate wearing them. I prefer to be barefoot at all times.
c) I am a self-proclaimed Solitaire queen.
d) I've had a patch of grey hair since I was around 8. Not sure how much that patch has grown these days.
e) I have a sister who is a hand model.
f) I was a tomboy when I was younger.
g) I love listening to loud music while cleaning my house.
3. Pass the award on to 5 newfound blogging buddies.
Hmm, since I haven't spent much time in the blogosphere lately, I'm at a loss as to how to pass the award on to.
However, if you're reading this, consider this an invitation to take the award and make it your own! LOL.

Self-Publishing |
It's been a lonnnggg time since I posted. Life comes at you hard sometimes and manages to knock you off your routine. However, I've managed to get back on my feet again.
I am currently considering cover options for my book that I will publish in a month. Deciding on how I want the color to look is a hard job - and time consuming, but I'm determined to do it. It's a daunting prospect, but at the same time liberating.
Happy writing! |
