The WICKED...
I know that sounds ominous, but i mean that in a good way! The Wicked is out and on shelves!! Omigoodness, I am such a huge fan of L. A. Banks. View the cover in the What I'm Reading section.

This is book 8 in a 12-book series. And right before a new book comes out, I go back and re-read all the previous ones (to get myself in the right frame of mind). Time-consuming? You bet, but oh-so satisfying. Like Anne Rice or Sherrilyn Kenyon? Then, you'll like L.A. Banks as well.

I actually bought the first book in the series (Minion) on a recommendation, but nearly two years passed before I actually read it. When I did and fell in love with the characters, I quickly bought the second book and the rest is history.

Hands down, my favorite characters has to be the enigmatic Carlos Rivera, former Vampire Councilman and now Neturu. It's hard to stay upset with him long because he is always trying to do the right thing, but only Carlos can get caught somewhere slightly to the left of right and still manage to save the day...and his soul in the process. I can spend hours fantasizing about which actor should play him in a movie. I won't bore you with who I personally believe that should be, but did I happen to mention Adam Rodriguez is the reason I watch CSI: Miami? Hmmm....

As a reward for completing my synopsis for my WIP which is a romantic suspense, I am settling down to lose myself in the fabulous world of Neturus, evil Cain and Lilith, and the Guardians of the Light.

Stay on the side of the Light!

Debut Novel

Check out one of my critique partners debut novel published by Triskelion. It's a fantastic chick lit. Randy Jeanne is very talented and has the right voice for this genre. The blurb is below.

Amy Harrington can't believe her identity's been stolen-after all, who'd want such a pathetic life? But when repercussions threaten her mother's social standing (God forbid!), Amy goes after the thief herself. The chase leads her to Mexico where she snags a job with Nick Cavenaugh--a straight-arrow kinda guy who's doing some life -reclaiming of his own.

Amy neglects to come clean about her real name, who she's after, or why she's really in Mexico because...What Nick doesn't know can't hurt him, can it? Stranded in a steamy jungle, she's about to find out. Amy may be after the woman who stole her life, but will Nick end up stealing Amy's heart?

Superbowl Commercials
Did anyone watch the Superbowl? What am I asking. Of course you watched. I don't have a favorite team. I just enjoy a good game and it was good. I've learned to limit the amount of sports I watch though. I get too involved and it's way too easy to become a loudmouth, ranting fool.

My sister was in one of the commercials so if you were watching them (and not taking a bathroom break), you saw her! And this time, her entire body - not just her hands - was on TV. Yes sir, that girl is going places. Glad I can say I knew her when. Maybe I'll sell her most embarrassing photos to the National Enquirer. Oops. She reads my blog, so I'd better watch what I say.

And Prince! In the rain! Oh the sheer pleasure. He brought back some memories, didn't he? I had to blast a few songs the next day just to honor him.
