The Cost of Looking Good |
As I was attacking a pile of magazine clutter the other night (I don't know why I just don't turn down offers to subscribe. Either I'm a glutton for punishment or the telemarketer catches me in a good mood), I found an article describing the steps to take for the perfect pedicure.
Mind you, I always mean to get regular pedicures, but I'm waiting until my toenails look good enough to have a professional working on them. The articles goes on to say how the cuticles of your toenails should be as soft and pliable as your fingernail cuticles. Huh? Seriously?
Remembering to pay attention to my fingernail cuticles is hard enough, you mean I actually have to bend down and care about the icky skin of my toenails too? Great. Guess that's one more thing to add to the neverending Keep-the-body-up To Do list.
The photo? I'd love to say it's my hand, but the truth is it's my sister's...a nationally-known hand model (who regularly gets mani and pedicures). Maybe I'll bite the bullet and endure a pedicure...then again, maybe I'll just opt to keep sock manufacturers in business. |

Nice blog!
By coincidence, I gave myself a pedicure today. What a pain. Then I had the nerve to do it just before leaving for work. So, I was late. Next time, I'd better pay for the luxury. ;-)
You sister's hand is beautiful, so I'm sure yours is too.
